WELCOME TO BREAKTHROUGH THERAPIES
We are a boutique practice consisting of a group of highly trained and accomplished healthcare professionals, dedicated to helping you make a shift make a shift towards healing using emerging and disruptive mental health care practices. Our speciality, Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, places us at the intersection of medicine and psychology, a rapidly expanding field at a global level in which much has been achieved and much remains a deeply consequential work-in-progress.
Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy involves the integration of talk therapy with the ingestion of a psychedelic medicine, Ketamine for example. As experts in our field, we offer professional training in the area of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy in addition to our clinical services.
We utilize unique treatment protocols that have been developed in-house using our extensive experience and training. Our primary focus is currently Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP); more psychedelic therapies will be added as they become accepted in Canada and beyond.
In addition to our thriving clinical practice, we also operate a cutting edge clinical training department, geared to training and mentoring professionals of all levels of experience in the area of Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy.

Our founder and Principal, Dr Dawn DeCunha, a clinical psychologist with more than three decades of experience treating patients with the most complex presentations, and who shifted her focus to psychedelic therapies at the very beginning of the current explosion of interest in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy.
