About
Inner rising retreats came about organically when a group of lifelong friends took the leap and journeyed into Colombia to sit ceremony with Taita (Shaman) Alejandro. In the process of finding themselves, they found something much more meaningful. Each of their experiences was so healing and transformative that the friends decided they needed to find a way to bring people to Taita Alejandro and the sacred Plant Medicine. With the guidance of Taita Alejandro and their great ancestors, we come together to form Inner Rising Retreats in union with Casa Munay. Creating a beautiful, ever-growing community of brave spiritual warriors.
From the vision of Taita Alejandro this ceremonial center was born, a sacred space that he called Casa Munay (which means “the house of the force of universal love”) to share his culture and wisdom of the ancestral sacred plants. In 2018 Casa Munay ceremonial center was finally built in the heart of Pitalito, Colombia.
Casa Munay is available for all of those who are looking for physical, mental, and spiritual healing through the sacred plant medicine ceremonies. These ceremonies are guided by Taita Alejandro, his Family, and support group of healers and musicians. Casa Munay is considered a sacred place Full of pure love by the people that have visited. In order to ensure you get the most from your Ayahuasca ceremonies, the size of the retreats will always remain small and intimate. This allows for a great deal of attention from Taita Alejandro and creates a safe environment for maximum healing.
Our Mission
is to provide a safe and trusted space for Ayahuasca ceremonies uniting people of all cultures and languages together so that we can reconnect with The Great Spirit.
About Taita Alejandro
Tiata Alejandro is 43 years old. He began his ancestral work at the age of 22. He initially trained with the Inga Tribe of the Putumayo region in Colombia. While with them he drank Ayahuasca every other day for three years. After that, he had the opportunity to live in the jungle near the border of Ecuador. There he studied with The Cofan grandparents and received many teachings. Among those teachings were songs of Yage also known as Icaros.
Tiata Alejandro cooks his own Yage and also uses other medicines such as Rapé to help the body fight diseases. His mission with the ceremonies he does is to help people find their own reason for existence and to help heal their interior. Alejandro also guides you to connect with your old memories and your spirit guides. According to Alejandro the Yage is known to be the remedy of the soul. He strives to help people of all racial cultures and languages unifying them with The Great Spirit so they can find their own mission of service and fulfillment.
